A mixed bag on today’s front pages, with teen environmentalist Greta Thunberg’s address to MPs coming the closest to a lead story. The 16-year-old activist said past generations’ inaction “will no doubt be remembered in history as one of the greatest failures of humankind”.

“Gove: Greta, we hear you,” is how Metro summarises the environment secretary’s enthusiastic response to the speech.

The Daily Telegraph says May’s decision to allow Chinese telecoms giant to participate in the UK’s 5G network “defies ministers”, who had warned that the firm poses a security risk.

Meanwhile, The Independent leads on the debate over whether US President Donald Trump should address Parliament during his state visit to the UK in June.
