A Dutch company has announced plans to teach crows to pick up cigarette butts off the street in exchange for food. The company, called Crowded Cities, will use an automated feeding system to reward the birds each time they drop a cigarette butt in a receptacle.

Airline apologises for forgetting corpses

Pakistan International Airlines has had to apologise after a mix-up at New York’s JFK airport resulted in two corpses bound for Lahore being left behind. One of the bodies has since been delivered to Pakistan, while the family of the other man left behind decided to have him buried in the US instead.

Man shoots himself in penis after robbery

A 19-year-old Chicago man is recovering in hospital after shooting himself in the penis. Local officials say the man had just finished robbing two people at gunpoint of their mobile phones, wallets and cash. As he began to run from the scene, he accidentally discharged the weapon, injuring himself.
